The Charlotte House - Pool, Hot Tub, Night of Lights!

We had booked the Charlotte house but we ended up changing to the House of Bliss. Lauren was great and was prompt at answering any questions. The house was clean and we felt very comfortable in the area. Our family especially enjoyed the high end features such as the elevator and the fancy bidet toilets. We would stay again!

Overall this was a beautiful home! We were very impressed with the accommodations, everyone had adequate space and the rooms were comfortable. One of the bedrooms is downstairs (the single queen), with the other 3 bedrooms upstairs. This worked out really well for us as we had a person in our party that had an injured foot, so she was happy to avoid the stairs! The home is older, but with a modern kitchen it felt like we got all of the charm, but still had modern conveniences, so that was really nice. I had a few questions when we first got there and the hosts were very quick to respond, so that was smooth and very much appreciated. The neighborhood was gorgeous, surrounded by lots of greenery and beautiful, historic homes. The pool was clean, it was used daily by us and the kids. I will say that the pool is quite warm, which some people in our group liked very much! I prefer a more "refreshing" pool hahaha, but it was so warm outside that it just couldn't be avoided! It was still a great way to cool off! Downtown was about a 5 minute drive, so certainly close enough to all of the restaurants and shops, but far enough removed that we had quiet evenings. There were a few minor quirks to the house - one of the upstairs restrooms had a leaning toilet that sort of made you feel like you were going to slide off haha, but no one actually slid off! Overall, I felt like this home was a great find and would be happy to rent from these hosts again anytime!

Lauren, our host, was extremely easy to work with and very responsive to our needs. Our grandchildren loved the pool! I would recommend this property.

Great location, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The pool was nice, but the hot tub appeared unclean, so we didn't use it. The pool area also had some debris, and the skimmer was unusable, making it difficult to clean. Since it's an older home, some doors didn't latch well and would occasionally open on their own.Communication with the owners/property management was generally responsive. However, after unplugging what we thought was an nonworking Google speaker to use the outlet, we received multiple messages asking us to reconnect the internet immediately and that if we didn’t comply they would come over and ask us to leave immediately. The wifi password wasn’t correct so we weren’t using the internet which we informed them upon arrival. The thermostat was also adjusted remotely, and we were told neighbors had reported excessive noise. We complied with all requests. Our group was respectful, and we were not aware of any noise issues.We left the home in excellent condition. While others may have a different experience, the communication and management interactions during our stay would make me unlikely to book this property again, especially considering the price.
